The purpose of our CPCS A58 360 Excavator Below 10 Tonnes training is to ensure you or your employee has the skills, knowledge and understanding to be able to use the 360 Excavator safely and efficiently.
The course and assessment covers:
- Describing the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator,
- Naming and explaining the purpose of principal components, the basic construction, controls and terminology,
- Conforming with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s handbook, other types of information source and relevant regulations and legislation,
- Undertaking all pre-use checks,
- Configuring and setting for travel, Travel over rough, undulating ground, substantial inclines and level surfaces,
- Working in confined spaces,
- Configuring and setting-up for excavating duties,
- Explaining actions required for hazards, underground and overhead services,
- Excavating differing types of excavations in a variety of grounds,
- Placing materials into transporting vehicles and hoppers,
- Grade, spreading and levelling ground and materials,
- Attaching and removing buckets,
- Lifting, moving and placing basic slung loads,
- Carrying out shut down and security procedures,
- Explaining the loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting
This course is run bi-weekly in Essex and the duration is 5 days
